RM - MLA400
The MLA400 is a 13.6VDC HF broadband linear amplifier, suitable for use across the 1.8 to 30 MHz range, with a maximum output of 400W (average power) and requiring a maximum input drive of 35W. It is designed primarily for transceivers with 100W outputs but can also be used with any transceiver capable of delivering 1 to 35W. The amplifier employs 4 RF power transistors arranged in two parallel push-pull circuits, biased in class AB.
It features 6 Low Pass Filters with cut-off frequencies of 3, 4, 5, 8, 15, 22, and 31 MHz, which significantly reduce unwanted harmonic output to acceptable levels. These filters can be selected manually or automatically. A microprocessor manages all amplifier functions and protection circuits, providing safeguards against excessive input power, excessive output power, high load VSWR, out-of-band operation, and excessive temperature.
The MLA400 can be installed in mobile, portable, or fixed station setups.
